2021 Youth Holiday Party!

December, 2021

Saturday, December 11th was one of the best days of the year at SFCASA - our youth holiday party! Gathering in person for the first time since 2019, youth had a blast participating in holiday festivities down at Fort Mason.

Two Dudes and a Booth were back taking keepsake photos of youth, CASAs, families, and even staff. Fortune Kookie Fun was twisting up beautiful balloon creations and the talented folks from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology gave our youth some glamorous new hairdos. Zach Treholm, caricature artist extraordinaire was also back again to draw up some whimsical portraits, and of course everyone’s best friend Nemo was there to pose for photos and accept head scratches.

Lunch was a delicious selection of Mayan specialties from La Cochinita and barbecue creations from Roderick’s barbecue. Cakes4Kids provided dozens of festive baked goods for dessert!

There were tons of crafts, from perler beads to make-your-own-wrapping paper. Lisa Spinali and her elves helped youth create keepsake photo ornaments, and youth could shop for themselves or loved ones at our first ever SFCASA Holiday Market. And of course, there was bingo, basketball and board games.

As youth left the event, they picked up their gifts and stockings. Our gift drive this year exceeded last year’s record amount with over $33,000 in cash and presents. Over 180 donors contributed to the drive, and SFCASA wants to extend gratitude to our outstanding gift drive partners: Avery Dennison, DLA Piper, CRV, Duncan Channon, Lisa Spinali, Maverick Capital, St. Finn Barr School, St. Finn Barr Church, Project Glimmer, St. Gabriel School’s 6th Grade Class, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Together We Rise, and all the individual donors who made the holidays such a special time for our youth.

Check out a couple of photos from this memorable day!
