2022 Youth Holiday Party

What a magical day last Saturday was at SFCASA’s Youth Holiday Party! Almost 200 people gathered at the San Francisco County Fair Building to celebrate the season in our largest party ever.

When youth, CASAs and families entered the party, they walked into a winter wonderland of activities and fun! Two Dudes and a Booth was back again snapping fabulous photos while caricature artist Zach Trenholm captured fun keepsake portraits. Lisa Spinali and her team of elves ran the ultimate crafting stations, with cookie decorating and photo ornaments. Kids shopped for themselves and others at the SFCASA Holiday Market, and then made their own wrapping paper to finish off holiday gifts to loved ones.

SFCASA’s Youth Board ran a jewelry-making station, and the perler beading was back again! Magician and balloon-twister extraordinaire Collin dazzled with his incredible juggling acts and balloon creations, and of course bingo was another huge hit! The talented folks from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics & Cosmetology created stunning hair and make-up styles, while some kids opted for glittery snowflake face paint. And of course Nemo was there, providing holiday snuggles!

Lunch was a delicious spread from Chang’s Kitchen and Underdogs Tres, and topped off with some custom desserts from Cake4Kids bakers! As the day wound down and youth left the party, they stopped by the gift pickup area to receive their specifically requested gift and stocking. With SFCASA’s gift drive topping $40,000 this year, our biggest drive ever meant there were tons of amazing gifts to hand out! Scooters and guitars, Lego sets and art supplies - everyone went home with a special gift just for them.

SFCASA’s gift drive was a huge success this year thanks to our incredible gift drive partners: New North Church, St. Finn Barr Church, St. Finn Barr School, DLA Piper, Johnson & Johnson, Jerry, Hero Digital, CRV, 1 Hotels, WilmerHale, Golden Gate Mother’s Group, Maverick Capital, Epic Church, Eucharist Church, and Lisa Spinali. We also had some incredibly generous individual donors who helped buy out the entire online registry for the first time ever! And a huge thanks to Avery Dennison for wrapping gifts and stuffing stockings!

Thank you to everyone who made this magical day possible! Check out some photos below:
