How to Become an SFCASA Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in becoming a San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASAs are the only volunteers that are appointed by a judge and empowered to stand up for an abused and neglected child in court. We ask each volunteer to make an 18-month commitment to serve on a case, spending 2—4 hours per week. If you would like to learn more about becoming an SFCASA volunteer, please join us at one of our upcoming 45 minute Information Sessions.

There are four training classes per year. Attending an information session is the first step in the application process.

Wednesday, February 8th at 12 noon at our office at 100 Bush Street, Suite 625

Wednesday, February 8th at 6 pm at our office at 100 Bush Street, Suite 625

Thursday, February 16th at 12 noon at our office at 100 Bush Street, Suite 625

Wednesday, February 29th at 12 noon at Starbucks Coffee at 455 Market Street

Getting Started

Attend a 45 minute information session.
Download, print, and fill out the volunteer application form.
