Approximately 1,200 of San Francisco’s children have been abused and neglected and are living in foster care. They urgently need SFCASA volunteer advocacacy and mentorship to bring positive change in their lives.

During 2009, SFCASA volunteers provided 42,000 hours of advocacy and mentoring to San Francisco’s most vulnerable at risk children and youth – helping to find them safe and permanent homes, to improve their school performance and grades, and encouraging them to become healthy and productive citizens.
