The San Francisco CASA program

Hot October Nights Event

Hot October Nights!
San Francisco's Roaring Twenties.

A benefit for the San Francisco CASA Program.

Thursday, October 20, 2011
7-11 pm
One Liedesdorff, San Francisco

Live & silent auction, cocktails & hors d'oeuvres, music & dancing.
A fundraiser in support of San Francisco's children & youth in foster care
.

This year, SFCASA proudly shared the stage with Tanashati Anderson an emancipated foster youth. Tanashati credits her CASA volunteer with helping her locate needed services, finding funding to enjoy small luxuries like going to prom, and helping her establish a real connection to her community. Tanashati believes that CASA volunteers are essential for ensuring that a foster child's voice is heard in the courtroom.

We also had the honor of sharing the evening with San Francisco's Mayor Ed Lee as he declared October 20, 2010 San Francisco CASA day!

All in all, the evening was a great success! The music, the food and drink, and the dizzying array of auction packages kept us all entertained for hours, and helped us to raise $130,000 and doubling last year's net income! All event proceeds help SFCASA sustain programming to abused and neglected children in foster care.
